Vice President for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research Attends Expanded Meeting of Faculty Members at the Center
An expanded meeting was held for the Graduate Program faculty members at the Gender Development Research and Studies Center. The meeting was attended by Dr. Najeeba Mutahar, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, Dr. Halima Jahaf, the Center’s Director, her deputy Dr. Saleh Humaid, and several faculty members of the program.
At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Hussnia Al-Qadri, a faculty member and former director of the center, summarized the uniqueness and nature of the center’s Graduate Program, highlighting her role as a supervisor from the program’s inception.
Dr. Bilkis Zabara, another faculty member and former director of the center, further explained the nature of the program and the teaching methods aimed at achieving high-quality academic and professional qualifications. Dr. Antelak Al-Mutawakil, also a faculty member, emphasized the program’s distinctiveness and importance in development from a gender perspective and its flexibility to adapt to any local or regional changes and integrate them into the curriculum.
The workshop aimed to introduce new faculty members to the program and integrate them into its system. It was mentioned that the next semester is scheduled to begin in early August 2019.
Dr. Mutahar highlighted the importance of concerted efforts to achieve further success and the necessity of resolving issues and minimizing obstacles that could negatively impact the academic progress of the students enrolled in the program.
