Master’s Degree Awarded to Researcher Safwan Ali Al-Faqih in Educational Administration and Planning

Researcher Safwan Ali Mohammed Al-Faqih was awarded a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration and Planning with a grade of excellent and an average of (95%) for his thesis titled: Organizational Climate and Its Relationship to Innovative Leadership among Principals of Private Schools in the Capital Secretariat, Sana’a, which was submitted to the Department of Educational Administration and Planning, Faculty of Education– Sana’a University. The MA defense was held on Thursday, September 17, 2026‎‎.

The MA Viva-voce Committee, which was formed based on a resolution issued by the Graduate Studies and Scientific Research Council, consisted of the following:

Abduljabbar Al-Tayyib Ameen Al-Noor – Sana’a University – Internal Examiner and Committee Chair.
Prof. Anwar Yahya Yahya Abu Hadi – Sana’a University – Co-Supervisor and Committee Member.
Prof. Nada Mansour Khushafa – Ibb University – External Examiner and Committee Member.

The thesis aimed to identify the level of organizational climate and the state of innovative leadership across its dimensions among principals of private schools in the Capital Secretariat, Sana’a, from the perspective of teachers in those schools. It also sought to determine the nature of the relationship between organizational climate and innovative leadership.

The study yielded several key findings summarized as follows:

The level of organizational climate among principals of private schools in the Capital Secretariat, as perceived by the study sample, was “high,” with an overall arithmetic mean of 3.90 and a relative weight of 78%.
The organizational structure dimension recorded the highest arithmetic mean, at 4.21, with a relative weight of 84.2%, corresponding to a “very high” level.
The administrative communication within the school dimension followed, with an arithmetic mean of 3.83 and a relative weight of 76.6%.
The participation in decision-making dimension recorded the lowest arithmetic mean, at 3.68, with a relative weight of 73.6%, corresponding to a “high” level.

In light of these findings, the researcher recommended that:

Educational district administrations and private schools in the Capital Secretariat ensure staffing with personnel whose specializations and assignments align with their roles and responsibilities.
Private school in the Capital Secretariat administrations provide appropriate opportunities to strengthen human relationships within schools.
