CAQA: Field Visit of the External Review Team for Institutional Accreditation to the Faculty of Languages at Sana’a University

Under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Education and Scientific Research, Mr. Hasan Al-Saadi, and as part of the ongoing efforts to obtain institutional accreditation, the Council for Academic Accreditation and Quality Assurance (CAQA) conducted a field visit by the external review team for the institutional accreditation of the Faculty of Languages. The visit lasted for four consecutive days to review the evidence and documentation of the faculty.
At the beginning of the visit, a meeting presided by Prof. Ahmed Ghalib Al-Huboub, was held in the presence of the Secretary-General of the CAQA, Dr. Mohammed Dhaifullah, the Assistant Team Leader, Prof. Ali Al-Azaki, and the Head of the external review team, Dr. Redhwan Qasim Ibrahim Al-Sharef. The team also included Assoc. Prof. Ahmed Ibrahim Abdullah Al-Qudaimi, Prof. Abdullah Naji Mohammed Ghanem, and Prof. Muneer Musleh Mohammed Al-Wusabi. Additionally, the University Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Prof. Ibrahim Al-Mutaa, the Dean of the Center for Development and Quality Assurance, Prof. Huda Al-Emad, and the Dean of the Faculty of Languages, Prof. Mohammed Ahmed
Al-Nasser, were present.
Prof. Al-Huboub emphasized that the teams visit followed several steps taken by the Council, including signing the agreement, providing technical support, and sending a verification committee to the faculty to receive and review the files. The files were reviewed first by the Councils experts and then by the external review team, who dedicated approximately two weeks to the task. Today’s visit marks the culmination of a series of stages and steps that need to be completed.
Dr. Mohammed Dhaifullah added that the Council has been working at a high pace since receiving the self-evaluation files from the faculties and programs of Sanaa University. The Council completed the review, analysis, and examination of the files, submitted preliminary reports, and then scheduled the field visits, which began in the first week and will continue until all field visits for the faculties and programs are completed.
Dr. Redhwan Al-Sharef outlined the teams plan for the visit, which the team will implement during their time at the faculty. Following the meeting, the team conducted a preliminary tour of the facultys facilities, including classrooms, the control room, the library, and lecture halls. The team will continue its visit tomorrow.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Mohsen Al-Hazmi, a member of the Councils supporting committee, Prof. Ali Mohammed Shamlan, Vice Dean for Quality Affairs, heads of departments, and faculty members.
