Conclusion of CAQA Field Visit by External Review Team to the Faculty of Sciences at Sana’a University

The external review team concluded today its field visit for institutional accreditation of the Faculty of Science at Sana’a University, which lasted for four consecutive days. During the visit, many meetings and interviews were conducted with representatives of academic standards, and the facilities, laboratories, equipment, and contents of the faculty were visited, including classrooms, the control room, the library, the faculty departments, the playgrounds, and other facilities belonging to the faculty.
At the end of the visit, attended by Dr. Mohammed Shukri, Vice Rector of the University for Student Affairs, Dr. Mohammed Dhaifullah, the Secretary-General, reviewed the procedures for institutional academic accreditation and what the faculty must do after accreditation.
The Secretary-General also praised the efforts made by the team headed by Prof. Omar Al-Shuja’a, and the membership of Dr. Saniya Al-Qarmouti, Prof. Munif Al-Dhubhani, and Prof. Amin Al-Asbahi during the four days, as well as the university leadership represented by Dr. Al-Kasem Abbas, and the Dean of the Faculty of Science, Dr. Mohammed Qusaila, and the Dean of the Center for Development and Quality Assurance, Prof. Huda Al-Emad, as well as Dr. Huda Al-Sanhani, the Acting Director General of Accreditation, who is making great efforts and following up on all field visits of the teams.
Dr. Fadhl Al-Wusabi, head of the expert team, reviewed the steps of accreditation from the issuance of the ministerial decision to the field visit.
Prof. Omar Al-Shuja’a, head of the external review team, reviewed the visit plan and the procedures carried out by the team, as well as the meetings and interviews conducted by the team since the first day, and reviewed the most important strengths and weaknesses of the faculty.
The presentation was attended by Dr. Elham Shukri, Vice Dean for Quality Affairs, Dr. Hussein Hanash, Director General of Review at the Council, faculty members, and some students of the faculty.
