Conclusion of the Field Visit by the External Review Team of the Council of Accreditation and Quality Assurance (CAQA) to the Faculties of Agriculture and Education at Sana’a University

After completing the field visit plan prepared by the CAQA in advance, the two external review teams concluded today their field visit for institutional accreditation of the Faculties of Education and Agriculture at Sana’a University, which lasted for four consecutive days, during which many meetings and interviews were conducted with representatives of academic standards and visits to the facilities of the two faculties, including classrooms, the control room, the library, the departments of the faculty, the playgrounds and nurseries, and other facilities belonging to the two faculties.
At the end of the visit of the external review team to the Faculty of Education, Prof. Ahmed Ghalib Al-Huboub, CAQA Chairman, reviewed the importance of accreditation and the procedures that the university must take after the field visit, expressing his thanks and appreciation for the efforts made by the team headed by Prof. Mohammad Ahmed Murshed Al-Qawas and the membership of Prof. Ahmed Musaad Ahmed Al-Hadi, Dr. Abdullah Zaid Qasim Salah, and Assoc. Prof. Turki Yahya Al-Qabani, as well as the assisting committee for the team of experts, Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Saafani and the membership of Ms. Amira Al-Shabuti, as well as the university leadership represented by Dr. Al-Kasem Abbas and the deanship of the Faculty of Education to facilitate the implementation of the team’s mission. Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Saafani, Director General of Evaluation and Chairman of the Committee of Experts, reviewed the procedures and steps of accreditation from the signing of the agreement until after the visit.

Prof. Mohammad Ahmed Murshed Al-Qawas, head of the external review team for the Faculty of Education, reviewed the field visit plan and the procedures carried out by the team during the four days, as well as the most important strengths and weaknesses of the Faculty of Education.
At the end of the visit of the external review team for institutional accreditation to the Faculty of Agriculture, Dr. Mohammad Dhaifullah, the Secretary-General, reviewed the procedures of institutional academic accreditation and what the Faculty of Agriculture should do after accreditation.
The Secretary-General also praised the efforts made by the team headed by Prof. Qais Abdullah Nujaim and the membership of Prof. Adel Abdul Ghani Al-Ansi, Assoc. Prof. Zaid Ahmed Al-Hadour, and Prof. Sadiq Hasan Al-Shiraji, and the assisting committee headed by Prof. Lutfi Al-Maqtari, a member of the Council, and the membership of Ms. Naseem Al-Haidari.
He also thanked the university leadership represented by the University Rector Prof. Al-Kasem Abbas and Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Prof. Ibrahim Al-Mutaa and Prof. Mohammad Shukri, Vice Rector for Student Affairs, the Dean of the Center for Development and Quality Assurance, Prof. Huda Al-Emad, and the Deanship of the Faculty of Agriculture. The Secretary-General explained that the team would write the final report of the visit and submit it to the Council to be discussed and addressed to the university with the recommendations prepared by the team after the visit.
Prof. Lutfi Al-Maqtari, a member of the Council and head of the team of experts, also reviewed the steps of accreditation from the issuance of the ministerial decision until the field visit.
Prof. Qais Abdullah Nujaim, head of the external review team for the Faculty of Agriculture, reviewed the visit plan and the procedures carried out by the team, as well as the meetings and interviews held by the team since the first day, and the most important strengths and weaknesses of the faculty were also presented.
The meeting was attended by the Vice Deans, Heads of Departments, Faculty Members, and Students.
