Sana’a University – Wednesday, October 8, 2025‎

The Center for Academic Development and Quality Assurance at Sana’a University ‎organized a workshop titled “Developing Specialization Track Specification Template in ‎Postgraduate Programs.”‎

The workshop forms part of the University’s ongoing efforts to develop academic programs ‎and align them with national and international quality assurance and accreditation standards.‎

The workshop aimed to design a unified template for specialization tracks in Master’s and ‎Ph.D. programs. This step would contribute to improving higher education outcomes and enhancing the feasibility of program objectives and content in compliance with local and ‎international academic accreditation requirements.‎

Prof. Huda Al-Emad, the Center’s Dean for Academic Development and Quality Assurance ‎and Vice President’s Assistant for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, emphasized ‎the significance of the workshop, noting that its outcomes would help resolve many of the ‎challenges facing the Postgraduate Studies Administration, particularly those related to the ‎nomenclature and classification of postgraduate programs and their specialization tracks.‎

She further pointed out that adopting a standardized specification template would ensure ‎greater consistency and clarity in issuing official documents for postgraduate students ‎enrolled in various specialization tracks.‎

The workshop was facilitated by Dr. Muneer Saleh Al-Azzani, the Center’s Deputy Dean, ‎and attended by Vice Deans for Quality Affairs and Vice Deans for Postgraduate Studies ‎and Scientific Research from various colleges and research centers.‎

Participants reviewed the content of the proposed template and discussed ways to refine and ‎adapt it to suit the distinct nature of each specialization track within the University’s ‎academic programs.‎

In conclusion, attendees expressed their appreciation for the Center’s continuous efforts to ‎enhance and modernize the University’s academic framework, affirming the importance of ‎sustaining such initiatives to align with the University’s vision for academic excellence and ‎quality assurance across all University programs.‎
