*Academic Development and Quality Assurance Center Holds Its Regular Meeting with Vice Deans for Quality Affairs*

The Academic Development and Quality Assurance Center (ADQAC) at Sana’a University held today its regular meeting with Vice Deans of faculties for Quality Affairs and members of the Center, chaired by Dr. Munir Saleh Al-Azzani, Vice Dean of the Center.The meeting discussed a number of issues related to strengthening the university’s academic and research quality assurance system.
At the outset of the meeting, Dr. Al-Azzani welcomed the attendees, wishing them success in carrying out their academic and supervisory responsibilities.He emphasized the vital role played by Vice Deans for Quality Affairs and specialized committees in developing the educational process and improving the quality of its outcomes, in a manner that contributes to advancing Sana’a University’s academic and research standing.
The Vice Dean reviewed the agenda items of the meeting, based on the directives of Prof. Huda Al-Emad, Dean of the Academic Development and Quality Assurance Center. These included discussing mechanisms for field visits by assigned committees to faculties and scientific and research centers to verify the accuracy and validity of submitted data related to the performance of graduate programs and their compliance with approved regulations and instructions, in line with the programs and study plans issued by the University Council.It was agreed that each committee would submit detailed reports according to the approved distribution lists.
The meeting also discussed study plans for active academic programs across various faculties as well as scientific and research centers, stressing the need to complete course specifications in preparation for submission to the Academic Accreditation Council committees during their evaluation visits to active programs at Sana’a University for the academic year 1447Hijri
In addition, the meeting reviewed a detailed report presented by the Secretary of the Academic Development and Quality Assurance Center on active programs for the current year. The report outlined programs whose course specifications have been completed, programs for which budgets were submitted in 2025, and courses that still require specification in 2026. These included the Faculty of Computer and Information Technology, Faculty of Arts and Humanities, and Faculty of Education – Sana’a, in addition to a number of scientific and research centers.
The meeting further discussed the field visit of the committee responsible for reviewing self-evaluation documents and infrastructure at the Faculty of Education – Al-Jawf, as part ofongoing efforts to improve the quality of the educational environment and enhance institutional performance.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Vice Dean of the Academic Development and Quality Assurance Center stressed the importance of accuracy and credibility in the work of field committees and evaluation reports, given their direct impact on improving academic performance and advancing the quality of graduate programs and university education at Sana’a University.
