CAQA: External Reviewers Team Concludes Field Visit for Institutional Accreditation of the Faculty of Engineering at Sana’a University

Today, the external reviewers’ team for institutional accreditation of the Faculty of Engineering at Sana’a University concluded its four-day field visit, during which the team held numerous meetings and interviews with representatives of academic standards and visited the faculty’s facilities, laboratories, and amenities.
At the end of the visit, the team organized a final meeting, attended by Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Shuaibi, Vice Chairman of the Council. He expressed his appreciation for the team’s efforts, led by Prof. Rashid Al-Sanafi, alongside Prof. Ahmed Yafa’a, Prof. Nouman Ammer, and Prof. Saleh Alawi Al-Sanabani. Appreciation was also extended to the supporting committee, headed by Prof. Ali Al-Azaki, accompanied by Mr. Mohammed Al-Sabri, as well as the university’s Rector, faculty administration, heads of departments, and Dr. Huda Al-Imad, Dean of the Academic Development and Quality Assurance Center.
Following this, Dr. Mohammed Dhaifallah, General Secretary, provided an overview of institutional and programmatic accreditation procedures, explaining their differences and discussing the expectations from both the university and faculty leadership. He also outlined the steps the faculty should take following the team’s visit.
Prof. Ali Al-Azaki, a council member, reviewed the steps and procedures for academic accreditation, from the signing of the agreement to the post-visit phase.
Additionally, Prof. Saleh Al-Sanabani, the team’s leader, presented the field visit plan, the actions undertaken by the team over the past four days, and highlighted the program’s strengths and weaknesses.
The presentation was attended by the faculty’s vice deans, heads of departments, faculty members, and students.
