Dean of the Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences at Sana’a University Meets with Head of Activities at Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF)

Sana’a – A formal meeting was held this morning at the Dean’s Office of the Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences at Sana’a University between Professor Dr. Khaled Al-Khamesy, Dean of the Faculty, and Dr. Wissal Hadhli, Head of Physiotherapy Activities at Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) – France.
The meeting focused on discussing ways to strengthen joint cooperation between the faculty and the organization in academic, training, and research fields—particularly in qualifying medical personnel and supporting practical training programs for students, especially those in physiotherapy and prosthetics and orthotics.
Dr. Al-Khamesy praised the vital humanitarian role played by Médecins Sans Frontières in providing medical care across various regions of the country, affirming the faculty’s readiness to cooperate and provide all necessary support to facilitate the organization’s efforts in both the health and education sectors.
For her part, Dr. Wissal Hadhli expressed her appreciation for the warm reception, commended the academic level of the faculty, and affirmed MSF’s interest in opening avenues for joint cooperation by offering training and fieldwork opportunities to students as part of the organization’s humanitarian projects in Yemen.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both parties agreed to form a joint committee to explore potential areas of collaboration and to develop an action plan to enhance partnership in the coming period.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Youssef Sultan, Medical Coordinator of MSF – France, Dr. Abdulwahab Hadi, Academic Director of the Faculty, and the Faculty Registrar.
