The Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences at Sana’a University Holds a Workshop on Academic Program Specification in Accordance with the Template of the Academic Accreditation and Quality Assurance Council
As part of its ongoing efforts to develop its academic programs and align them with standards of quality and academic accreditation, the Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences at Sana’a University organized a specialized workshop entitled:
“Academic Program Specification in Accordance with the Template of the Academic Accreditation and Quality Assurance Council.”
The workshop was held in the presence of Pr. Khaled Al-Khamesy, Dean of the Faculty, and Prof. Dr. Ahmed Al-Mujahed, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine for Quality Affairs, along with the active participation of numerous faculty members and academic professionals involved in program specification, each according to their area of expertise.
The workshop aimed to standardize and develop the specification of academic programs in line with accreditation requirements, enhance learning outcomes to meet the needs of the labor market, and keep pace with the rapid scientific advancements in the field of applied medical sciences.
The workshop included detailed discussions on the Regional Academic Reference Standards (ARS), mechanisms for formulating learning outcomes, and identifying appropriate teaching strategies and assessment methods for each program. It also involved a review of the approved specification template and successful previous experiences in this field.
For his part, Prof. Dr. Khaled Al-Khamesy emphasized the importance of this step in improving the quality of academic programs, stressing the need for the continuation of such workshops and strengthening collaboration between the faculty and the University’s Quality Assurance Center to achieve full academic accreditation for its programs.
