The Faculty of Medical and Applied Sciences Organizes a Workshop to Review and Develop the Prosthetics and Orthotics Program in Collaboration with International Experts from the International Committee of the Red Cross
As part of ongoing efforts to enhance academic programs and improve the quality of education and training in the field of medical rehabilitation, the Faculty of Medical and Applied Sciences at Sana’a University organized a special workshop to review and develop the Prosthetics and Orthotics Program, with the participation of a select group of international experts from the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and faculty experts.
The workshop was chaired by Professor Khaled Al-Khamesy the Dean of the Faculty, and attended by the faculty’s academic programs committee. Participants discussed ways to update and develop the academic program to keep pace with scientific and technological advancements in this vital field.
During the workshop, the existing academic program was reviewed by international expert Samuel, who presented a comprehensive analytical vision of the program’s content and suggestions for its development in line with international standards and labor market requirements.
Also attending and participating in the workshop was Mr. Yasser Al-Imad, the program coordinator with the International Committee of the Red Cross, who emphasized the importance of this collaboration in training specialized personnel capable of meeting the growing needs in the field of prosthetics and orthotic technologies in Yemen.
This workshop is part of a series of activities through which the college aims to strengthen its international partnerships and enhance its academic programs, contributing to community service and achieving scientific excellence
