A Seminar for PhD Dissertation Proposal of Mr. Fahmi Ali Al-Asour – Center of Business Administration

Sana’a, Yemen – Saturday, August 8, 2026 – The Center of Business Administration at Sana’a University today hosted a seminar for PhD candidate Mr. Fahmi Ali Al-Asour, who presented his dissertation proposal titled: “The Impact of Lean Management on Occupational Health and Safety Performance: The Mediating Role of the Internal Organizational Environment in Yemeni Pharmaceutical Factories.” The dissertation is being supervised by Prof. Sinan Ghalib Al-Marhadi.

The PhD dissertation proposal viva-voce committee consisted of the following:

• Assoc. Prof. Abdulrazzaq Al-Marani, Committee Member.

• Assoc. Prof. Fuad Abdu Al-Mekhlafi, Committee Member.

• Assoc. Prof. Mohammed Al-Ashwal, Committee Member.

• Prof. Senan Ghalib Al-Marhadi, Supervisor.

During the session, the researcher outlined his proposed study, detailing its objectives, significance, methodology, and theoretical and conceptual framework. He also presented the proposed variables, relationships, and analytical tools.

Following a comprehensive discussion, the committee approved the PhD dissertation proposal, commending the researcher’s efforts and recognizing the importance of the dissertation topic in enhancing occupational health and safety performance and improving management practices in Yemeni pharmaceutical factories.

The seminar was attended by a number of interested faculty members and postgraduate students from the Center of Business Administration.
