*Sana’a University CCTLT Hosts Translation Students from the University of Modern Sciences for Specialized Field Visit*

As part of its ongoing commitment to bridging the gap between theory and practice, the Community Center for Translation and Language Teaching (CCTLT) at Sana’a University continues to play a leading role in training and preparing translators and language professionals from universities across Yemen. In this context, the Center recently hosted a distinguished field visit by translation students from the University of Modern Sciences, reflecting its status as a premier academic and professional training institution.
During the visit, Prof. Ibraheem Tagaddeen, Director of the Center, and Dr. Faisal Al-Dawli, Head of the Translation Unit, delivered informative and engaging presentations on the art and fundamentals of translation with special focus on translation technology. They shared a wealth of practical insights and professional experiences drawn from various fields of translation, providing students with a valuable opportunity to gain first-hand exposure to the realities of the translation profession.
The visit also included a guided tour of the Center’s specialized Translation Unit, where students observed the actual workflow involved in managing professional translation projects and explored the wide range of documents handled by the Center. The tour offered participants a realistic simulation of the professional translation workplace, demonstrating industry-standard practices and procedures.
Prof. Ibraheem Tagaddeen emphasized the significant role of such field visits in narrowing the gap between academic learning and professional practice. He noted that the Center is committed to making its specialized expertise and training resources available to researchers, trainees, and students as part of its mission to serve both the academic community and the language services profession.
