Sana’a University CCTLT Organizes English Speaking Competitions to Enhance Students Oral Communication Skills
Sana’a – Wednesday, July 29, 2026 (15 Safar 1448 AH)
The Language Teaching Department at the The Community Center for Translation and Language Teaching (CCTLT), Sana’a University, organized today a series of academic competitions in English speaking skills for female students enrolled in the Center’s English Language Program, AA Level.
The event was inaugurated by Prof. Ibraheem Tagaddeen, Director of the Center, in the presence of Mr. Noah Shousha, Head of the Language Teaching Department, along with a number of faculty members and students. The competition is scheduled to continue over two days.
The competitions were coordinated by Mr. Mohammed Al-Mahfadhi and Ms. Angham Al-Dhayani. Seven teams representing different AA-level classes participated, with a total of 21 contestants competing in speaking performance and public presentation skills. The event was held in a vibrant and competitive atmosphere aimed at developing students’ English communication skills, strengthening their self-confidence, and promoting interactive learning.
Following the judges’ evaluation of the participants’ performances, four students, each representing one of the competing teams, were selected to advance to the final round, which is scheduled to be held next Saturday.
This event forms part of the Center’s ongoing academic and language enrichment activities, which are designed to enhance students’ proficiency, foster an engaging learning environment, and reflect the Center’s commitment to delivering high-quality educational programs that combine academic excellence with practical application.
