*Sana’a University CCTLT Hosts Translation Students ‎from the University of Modern Sciences for Specialized ‎Field Visit*

As part of its ongoing commitment to bridging the gap between theory and practice, the ‎Community Center for Translation and Language Teaching (CCTLT) at Sana’a University ‎continues to play a leading role in training and preparing translators and language ‎professionals from universities across Yemen. In this context, the Center recently hosted a ‎distinguished field visit by translation students from the University of Modern Sciences, ‎reflecting its status as a premier academic and professional training institution.‎


During the visit, Prof. Ibraheem Tagaddeen, Director of the Center, and Dr. Faisal Al-‎Dawli, Head of the Translation Unit, delivered informative and engaging presentations ‎on the art and fundamentals of translation with special focus on translation technology. They shared a wealth of practical insights and ‎professional experiences drawn from various fields of translation, providing students with ‎a valuable opportunity to gain first-hand exposure to the realities of the translation ‎profession.‎


The visit also included a guided tour of the Center’s specialized Translation Unit, where ‎students observed the actual workflow involved in managing professional translation ‎projects and explored the wide range of documents handled by the Center. The tour ‎offered participants a realistic simulation of the professional translation workplace, ‎demonstrating industry-standard practices and procedures.‎
Prof. Ibraheem Tagaddeen emphasized the significant role of such field visits in ‎narrowing the gap between academic learning and professional practice. He noted that ‎the Center is committed to making its specialized expertise and training resources ‎available to researchers, trainees, and students as part of its mission to serve both the ‎academic community and the language services profession.‎
