The Board of the Dental Technology Bachelor Program at Sana’a University’s Faculty of Dentistry convened its first meeting for the academic year 2026/2027. The session was chaired by Assoc. Prof. Taghreed Ahmed Al-Kebsi, Program Director, with board members in attendance.
The meeting opened with discussions on key agenda items aimed at strengthening the program’s administrative and academic framework, as well as advancing educational standards to align with current industry developments.
During this inaugural session, the board officially approved the formation of the program’s executive committee. Led by Dr. Al-Kebsi and under the general supervision of Dr. Rami Abdulrahman Ishaq, the committee includes:
• Dr. Muneer Saleh Al-Azzani (Secretary and Board Member)
• Assoc. Prof. Mohsen Ali Al-Hamzi
• Prof. Hassan Abdulwahab Al-Shamahy
• Assoc. Prof. Fouad Lutf Al-Matari
• Mr. Khaled Yahya Wahban
The executive body aims to enhance administrative efficiency and drive the program’s academic goals forward.
Addressing infrastructure needs, the board reviewed essential facility requirements for practical coursework. Members approved submitting a formal request to the Faculty Dean—to be escalated to university leadership—for the procurement of a specialized computer lab and advanced CAD/CAM system technology. This equipment will ensure students gain hands-on experience using industry-standard digital dentistry tools.
The meeting concluded with a commitment to maintaining strong institutional governance and securing the necessary resources to develop the program. Board members emphasized their goal to prepare highly qualified graduates capable of meeting evolving labor market demands and bolstering the faculty’s academic output.
