Dr. Al-Ammar Donates Over 1,000 Books to the Media Library
Professor Dr. Ali Hussein Al-Ammar, Professor and Head of the Department of Journalism and Electronic Publishing, donated more than 1,000 books from his personal library to the College of Media Library.
Dr. Al-Ammar explained that the donated books included scholarly books in the field of media, as well as peer-reviewed scholarly journals in various humanities, in addition to Yemeni and Arab books in various humanities, as well as translated international books.
On another note, Dr. Omar Ahmed Daer, Deputy Minister of Information and Dean of the College, expressed his appreciation to Dr. Ali Al-Ammar for his distinguished initiative, which reflects his appreciation for knowledge. He highlighted the importance of this step in enriching the college library with various scholarly books, both media and non-media, which will benefit students of the College of Media in various programs in general, and graduate programs in particular.
He explained that this will encourage many colleagues in the college and university to support libraries in various colleges, using the valuable scientific wealth of their private libraries, which will positively impact university researchers in various fields.
