Sana’a University Rector’s Assistant Emphasizes Digital Platform Development During Visit to Faculty of Mass Communication

As part of Sana’a University’s strategic commitment to digital transformation and the advancement of media and academic performance, Mr. Adel Al-Hababi, Sana’a University Rector’s Assistant for Media Affairs, visited the Faculty of Mass Communication to evaluate the performance of its official website and social media platforms. During the visit, Al-Hababi underscored that the modernization of digital platforms across all faculties and centers remains a top institutional priority.
The event was attended by Prof. Hussein Jughman, Vice Dean for Academic Affairs; Prof. Mahdi Al-Harazi, Vice Dean for Quality Assurance; Mr. Khaled Al-Thawr, Faculty Secretary; Eng. Rania Hamoud Al-Amrani, Web and Social Media Coordinator; and Mr. Ali Al-Maqhafi, Studios Coordinator.
The meeting focused on strategies to upgrade the faculty’s website, improve content quality, and update academic and media data. These efforts aim to bolster the faculty’s digital presence, ensuring its platforms serve as reliable sources of academic information while meeting the rigorous requirements of international university rankings.
Al-Hababi highlighted that digital platforms serve as the university’s primary gateway to the global community. He emphasized the necessity of adhering to the university’s institutional identity and media policy, particularly through:
– Regularly updating news and academic programs in both Arabic and English.
– Improving Search Engine Optimization (SEO) to increase academic engagement.
– Strengthening Sana’a University’s stature in the digital landscape.
In response, Prof. Hussein Jughman expressed his appreciation for the university leadership’s focus on digital media development. He reaffirmed the faculty’s commitment to implementing these directives through a collaborative team approach, ensuring that digital platforms reflect the faculty’s academic prestige and support the educational process.
This visit is part of a series of field evaluations conducted by the University Rector’s Assistant for Media Affairs to monitor and assess digital performance across the university. These efforts are central to a comprehensive plan to modernize university media and drive digital transformation at Sana’a University.
