Public Seminar Held to Present PhD Proposal in Media and Digital Publishing
Sana’a – A public scientific seminar (viva session) was held on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, corresponding to 1 Rabi’ al-Thani 1447 Hijri, in the Press Laboratory Hall to present the PhD research proposal submitted by Ms. Rafiqa Abdullah Al-Ward.
The proposal, titled: “Yemeni and Arab Press Discourse on the Aggression Against Yemen during the Period 2015 – 2017: An Analytical Field Study,” was presented to faculty members.
During the session, the candidate outlined the general framework of her plan, covering the dissertation’s title, the research problem, the methodology to be adopted, the main and subsidiary research objectives, and the materials and procedures scheduled for implementation.
The attending faculty members engaged in an academic discussion of the submitted plan, offering a series of scientific observations and recommendations aimed at refining the proposal and ensuring the achievement of its goals.
At the conclusion of the session, the research plan was approved (admitted), with the researcher instructed to take the faculty’s feedback into careful consideration during the implementation phase.
The session was chaired by Prof. Ali Hussein Al-Ammar and attended by Dr. Sabah Al-Khaishani, Dr. Samia Abdulmajeed Al-Aghbari, Dr. Omar Abrain, Dr. Jamal Sailan, and Dr. Mohammed Al-Faqih, along with a number of Media students.
