Faculty of Mass Communication Hosts Cultural and Recognition Ceremony at Sana’a University
SANA’A — In an initiative to foster cultural and intellectual engagement among the student body, the Faculty of Mass Communication at Sana’a University, in partnership with the Student Forum, hosted a commemorative cultural and recognition ceremony. The event was attended by a wide audience of university officials, faculty members, and students.
The ceremony commenced with a recitation from the Holy Quran, followed by an opening address delivered by the Vice Dean for Student Affairs on behalf of the Dean. In his remarks, the Vice Dean welcomed the attendees and underscored the vital role such events play in instilling cultural values, intellectual awareness, and a sense of social responsibility within the academic community.
The event featured diverse segments designed to promote humanitarian and intellectual ideals:
• A dedicated session featuring poems that reflected the cultural significance of the occasion and celebrated core human values.
• A representative from the Student Forum emphasized that the event is part of an ongoing commitment to support extracurricular activities that broaden students’ intellectual horizons.
The highlight of the event was the recognition ceremony for the winners and participants of the Al-Shaheed Al-Ghumari Competition. This gesture reflects the Faculty’s dedication to nurturing creative talent and encouraging students to excel in both cultural and academic spheres.
The event was attended by a significant turnout from faculty members and administrative staff, alongside a large gathering of students.
