PhD Dissertation Proposal Seminar for Ms. Amany Lutf

Department of Translation at the Faculty of Languages, Sana’a University, successfully convened a research seminar to discuss the PhD Dissertation proposal submitted by Ms. Amany Abdulmalik Mohammed Lutf.

Her research, titled “Investigating the Language of Resistance in the Arabic Translations of Some Selected Works of Ngũgĩ wa Thiong’o”.

The viva-voce committee consists of:

During the session, the candidate presented a comprehensive overview of her scientific plan. She outlined the study’s primary objectives, emphasizing its significance in the field of translation studies. The presentation covered the theoretical framework, methodology, hypotheses as well as analytical tools to be employed.

Following an in-depth discussion and rigorous scholarly exchange, the committee formally approved the research plan. The members praised the candidate’s efforts and highlighted the significance of the topic to the field of translation studies.

The seminar was well-attended by graduate students, faculty members, and researchers specialized in linguistics and translation.
