Master’s Thesis Proposal Seminar for Ms. Arwa Qasem

Department of Translation at the Faculty of Languages, Sana’a University, successfully convened a research seminar to discuss the Master’s thesis proposal submitted by Ms. Arwa Ahmed Mansoor Ameen Qasem.

Her research, titled “The Use of Hedging in the English Translations of Abdul Aziz Al-Maqaleh’s Selected Works”.

The viva-voce committee consists of:

During the session, the candidate presented a comprehensive overview of her scientific plan. She outlined the study’s primary objectives, emphasizing its significance in the field of translation studies. The presentation covered the theoretical framework, methodology, hypotheses as well as analytical tools to be employed.

Following an in-depth discussion and rigorous scholarly exchange, the committee formally approved the research plan. The members praised the candidate’s efforts and highlighted the significance of the topic to the field of translation studies.

The seminar was well-attended by graduate students, faculty members, and researchers specialized in linguistics and translation.
