Faculty of Petroleum and Natural Resources Concludes Weekly Environmental Activities Program

The Faculty of Petroleum and Natural Resources at Sanaa University concluded its weekly environmental activities program today, Wednesday, organized by the Department of Environmental Sciences. The program wrapped up with a comprehensive environmental awareness event focused on the “Dangers of Plastic Pollution,” featuring distinguished academic and student participation.
The event was held in the presence of Prof. Dr. Basim Al-Kharbash, Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Hisham Nagi, Head of the Environmental Sciences Department, Dr. Maryam Taher, Faculty Member and Activities Coordinator, and Dr. Safaa Al-Qubati, Professor of English Language, along with a large group of first-year and senior students from various faculty specializations.
During the event, the Dean emphasized the vital importance of such awareness lectures in shaping environmental consciousness, praising the proactive role of Environmental Sciences students. The Head of the Department also commended the students’ enthusiasm and dedication in organizing these weekly events.
The Activities Coordinator concluded by stating that the department intends to continue these environmental initiatives in the upcoming academic year (God willing), aiming to further deepen environmental awareness and responsibility among all students within the faculty.
