Mineral Resources Students at Sana’a University Conclude Specialized Training at GSMRB
Students of the Mineral Resources and Rocks Program at the Faculty of Petroleum and Natural Resources at Sana’a University have successfully concluded a practical training program at the Geological Survey and Mineral Resources Board. This initiative aimed to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and field application while qualifying engineering cadres for the professional market.
The training within the Board’s laboratories focused on developing skills in preparing and studying petrographic thin sections alongside specialized geochemical analysis methods. Furthermore, the program included practical applications of fire assay techniques for extracting metallic minerals and a detailed study of the geological maps of the Republic of Yemen. These sessions were designed to familiarize students with the distribution of mineral wealth across the country, ultimately enhancing their scientific and professional capabilities to meet the demands of the labor market.
