The Faculty of Petroleum and Natural Resources at Sanaa University

witnessed on Monday February 16 2026 a public defense of graduation projects for a group of students from the Geological Sciences program Petroleum Geology track where students Shehab Sadeq Al-Qadi and Saddam Shawqi Al-Kushari presented their research project which dealt with the analysis and study of microfacies and the inference of depositional environments for the Amran Group section and Jabal Salab Formation in the Nehm district of Sanaa Governorate shedding light on the precise geological characteristics of this important region and in the same context students Hussein Rassam Mohammed Al-Qasimi and Zaid Abu Dhawi reviewed their scientific study on the geological boundaries between the Amran and Tawilah groups and their economic importance in the Eastern Sanaa Basin which is a study that acquires special importance in understanding the natural resources and geological reservoirs in the region and the discussion committee praised the high scientific level and the distinguished field performance presented by the students in their research which constitutes a qualitative addition to the Yemeni geological library wishing them continued success in their upcoming professional careers to serve the nation and its development.
