Brief Description of Environmental Sciences B.Sc. Program
The Bachelor’s program was designed, the curriculum map was prepared, and the structure of the Environmental Sciences program was built based on a survey of similar reference program structures. The program follows the semester system, in a regular manner, and the graduate of the department obtains a Bachelor of Science degree (specialization: Environmental Sciences) after completing four years (8 semesters) of study, and passing 132 credit hours. The program’s courses are divided into three main areas of the scientific program content, and these areas are: General Culture Courses (University Requirements) with 19 credit hours, Basic Science Courses (College Requirements) with 40 credit hours, and Major Specialization Courses (Program Requirements) with 73 credit hours. The team responsible for structuring the department’s materials has ensured that the student obtains, at the end of the fourth year of his studies, all the information and practical and applied skills sufficient to enable him to conduct various and different environmental examinations, so that he qualifies him to compete and succeed in the labor market related to the environment in addition to general job opportunities close to this field, according to international quality standards, which will represent a starting point for a wide range of jobs and postgraduate research.
