I started my work at Sana’a University as a demonstrator in 1990 and I progressed in academic positions and got the rank of associated professor in 2014. My research interests are summarized in Geophysics (Seismology).

Establishing the local geodetic network (Sana’a – Dhamar _ Hodeidah – Aden – Mukalla – Sayeun).

Coordinator of the Yemeni- Portugal (Lisbon University) Team for monitoring the earth

Crustal deformation.

Establishing Permanent GPS station in Sana’a and Socotra and preparing to establish the third permanent GPS station in Aden.
