Sana’a University Honors Top Student Researchers and Dr. Fatima Al-Hadi for Scientific Excellence
Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mohammad Al-Bukhaiti, Rector of Sana’a University, and Prof. Dr. Mohammad Saleh Qassilah, Dean of the Faculty of Science, the Faculty organized a scientific event today to honor a select group of its graduate student researchers, alongside a special tribute to the pioneer of biological sciences, Prof. Dr. Fatima Al-Haddi, in recognition of her distinguished academic career.
The event featured the honoring of the best graduation research papers for the current academic year across the Faculty’s four departments: Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, and Biological Sciences. This initiative comes as part of the university’s commitment to supporting academic excellence and encouraging scientific research aligned with the priorities of the Republic of Yemen’s National Research Map, thereby enhancing the alignment of educational outcomes with national development requirements.
The Faculty Deanship emphasized that the honored research papers underwent rigorous scientific evaluation and focused on providing innovative solutions in the fields of energy, environment, health, and digital technologies. The leadership commended the students’ ability to apply theoretical knowledge to practical projects that address real-world challenges in Yemen.
In a gesture of gratitude and appreciation, the Faculty honored Prof. Dr. Fatima Al-Haddi, one of Sana’a University’s most prominent academic figures, for her decades-long scientific and administrative contributions, her vital role in mentoring generations of researchers, and her foundational work in establishing scientific research within biological sciences.
The ceremony included brief presentations of the winning research projects, as well as tribute speeches highlighting the critical importance of scientific research in addressing current challenges and reinforcing its role in community service.
The event concluded with the distribution of appreciation certificates to the creative students amid an inspiring academic atmosphere that reflected excellence and pride.
