Summary Report: Outcomes of the Extraordinary Meeting of the Medicinal Honey Conference Preparatory Committee

• Workshop 1: Chemical and Botanical Fingerprinting and Protecting Yemeni Honey from Adulteration (Determining Quality and Geographical Origin).

• Workshop 2: Transitioning Toward Modern Beekeeping (Modern Hive Management, Production Efficiency Enhancement, and Localization of Equipment).

• Workshop 3: Advanced Technology in Post-Harvest Handling and Quality Control (Extraction, Filtration, and International Hygienic Packaging).

• Workshop 4: Honey and Bee Products as Raw Materials in Pharmaceutical Industries (Investing in Propolis, Royal Jelly, Bee Venom, and Pollen).

• Workshop 5: Integrated Management of Bee Pastures and Ecological Pest Control (Environmental Protection and Conservation of the Yemeni Bee Breed).

• Workshop 6: Building a Global Marketing Identity and Facilitating Export Procedures (Bringing Yemeni Honey to Global Markets).

• Workshop 7: Scientific and Clinical Authentication of Apitherapy in Yemeni Heritage (Formulating Approved Medical Protocols).

These workshops have been carefully designed to provide the conference with measurable scientific and technical impact, ensuring a strong link between the medicinal honey production sector and all relevant stakeholders.

Dr. Mueen Al-Mutawakel, Chairman of the Organizing Committee, enriched the discussions with distinguished additions and proposals supporting the executive aspects of the workshops, ensuring a resounding success for the First Scientific Conference on Yemeni Medicinal Honey.

Furthermore, Dr. Anwar Al-Qabati presented insights into the traditional heritage of beekeeping, reviewing the current state of machinery, tools, equipment, and beekeeping supplies at both national and international levels.

The Chairman of the Preparatory Committee concluded the discussion by emphasizing the scientific, technical, and professional significance of these workshops. He noted that they serve as an effective driver for field and executive work, and a cornerstone for reinforcing coordination, integration, and cooperation among relevant authorities in general, and with the Yemeni Pharma Manufacturers Federation (YPMF) and pharmaceutical factories in particular.
