Quality Unit
The College of Science – Sana’a University, which was established in 1973, is considered one of the oldest scientific and research colleges in Yemen and the region. Establishing the Quality Unit as one of the outcomes of the project to establish an internal quality system at the College of Science.
The Quality Unit at the College of Science seeks to spread a culture of quality among faculty members, students and employees that follows the standards of the Council for Academic Accreditation and ensure the quality of higher education in order to achieve the mission and goals of the college. Monitoring and evaluating the performance, research and service activities provided by the college, adopting a process of continuous improvement, raising the educational level, keeping pace with scientific and technological developments, and directing them to serve scientific research and society.
The College of Science awards bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees in the following disciplines: chemistry, life sciences, mathematics, and physics.
Strategic objectives of the quality unit: –
•Developing an internal quality management system at the college level.
• Spreading a culture of quality among faculty members, assistant staff, administrators, and students.
•Achieving, reviewing and updating the college’s strategic mission and objectives.
•Developing systems and models for evaluating performance and measuring opinions.
•Follow up on the preparation of reports and files of programs and courses in the various college departments
•Developing performance improvement plans.
•Developing the capabilities of leaders, faculty members, assistant staff, and administrators.
•Qualifying the college to apply for accreditation locally, regionally and internationally.
