Sana’a—Thursday, May 22, 2025 (24 Dhul-Qi’dah 1446 AH)
Sana’a University Rector, Prof. Mohammed Al-Bukhaiti, officially launched the initial paving work for the main road within the university campus today. This significant renovation project stretches from the Western Ring Road intersection (Al-Hikma Al-Yamania Roundabout) to the Western Gate of the University (Mathbah Roundabout).
This infrastructure upgrade is a collaborative development partnership between Sana’a University and the Capital Secretariat. The project’s costs are shared equally, with the Capital Secretariat covering half and Sana’a University funding the remainder. The initiative aims to enhance the university’s infrastructure, improve logistical services for students, staff, and visitors, and streamline traffic flow on one of the campus’s most vital thoroughfares.
Prof. Al-Bukhaiti emphasized that this project is part of a comprehensive plan to renovate public facilities and improve the educational infrastructure. He also commended the Capital Secretariat’s active role in supporting educational infrastructure projects across academic institutions.
The project is carried out by the Capital Secretariat’s Executive Unit, which has already commenced paving and renovation work according to an engineering plan that adheres to the highest quality and safety standards.
