Sana’a University Graduate Studies Council Approves 50 New Research Titles and Endorses the Results of 38 Theses and Dissertations

The Graduate Studies and Scientific Research Council of Sana’a University held today its first meeting for the 1448 AH / 2026 academic year, chaired by Prof. Hamoud Abdullah Al-Ahnoumi, Vice Rector for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research. The meeting is part of the University’s ongoing efforts to advance its graduate studies system, strengthen the quality of scientific research, and enhance the effectiveness of its academic programs.
The meeting commenced with the Council’s review and approval of the minutes of its previous session. Members then discussed a number of agenda items concerning the development of graduate studies programs and the organization of the research process in accordance with the University’s applicable regulations and bylaws. The Council also considered several issues related to facilitating student admission procedures for graduate programs and adopted the necessary decisions. In addition, it approved the tuition fees for the MA Program at the Center for Protected Agricultural Environment.
Regarding scientific research, the Council approved the registration of 50 new research titles, comprising 32 PhD dissertation titles and 18 MA thesis titles across a variety of scientific and humanities disciplines. The Council also endorsed the examination and evaluation results of 28 PhD dissertations and 10 MA theses, while approving amendments to the titles of a number of research projects in accordance with the University’s approved academic regulations.
The Council further approved the results of several academic programs, including Proficiency Enhancement Programs, diploma programs, and MA coursework programs. It also approved internal scholarships for teaching assistants and assistant lecturers to pursue their graduate studies, in addition to endorsing joint cooperation scholarships between Sana’a University and other public universities.
Concluding the meeting, the Council reaffirmed its commitment to the continued advancement of the University’s graduate studies and scientific research system in order to enhance the quality of academic outcomes, improve research performance, and further strengthen Sana’a University’s role in serving society and contributing to scientific and knowledge-based development.
