Sana’a University Livestock Students Gain Practical Experience During Scientific Visit to Veterinary Laboratory

As part of efforts to strengthen practical and hands-on learning and connect academic knowledge with professional practice, third-year students in the Department of Livestock at the Faculty of Agriculture, Food and Environment, Sana’a University, visited the Veterinary Laboratory as part of the practical component of the Animal Health course, under the supervision of Mr. Fouad Al-Seraji.
The visit aimed to familiarize students with the laboratory’s different sections and workflows, as well as the types of examinations and analyses conducted there. Particular attention was given to feed-ration and protein analysis, highlighting its importance in assessing the quality of feed ingredients and determining their nutritional value. This, in turn, contributes to improving animal nutrition and enhancing the efficiency of livestock production.
The visit forms part of the practical activities that the Faculty is committed to providing in order to equip students with hands-on experience and familiarize them with specialized professional work environments. Such activities strengthen their knowledge and practical skills in the fields of animal production and animal health, preparing them for professional practice in their field.
