SANA’A, July 6, 2026 — The Department of Sociology at Faculty of Arts and Humanities at Sana’a University held its second regular meeting for the 2026/2027 academic year. The session was chaired by Dr. Hana Ibrahim Al-Mutawakel, Chair of the Department, and attended by faculty members.
The department council began by approving the minutes of the previous meeting before reviewing several academic items concerning graduate programs. Following the completion of all necessary academic and administrative procedures, the council approved the admission of a new cohort of students into the Ph.D. program in Sociology, effective from the start of the 2026/2027 academic year.
Concluding the meeting, the council emphasized its dedication to advancing graduate programs, enhancing the quality of scientific research, and fostering an academic environment that serves the community.
