The Council of the Department of Library and Information Science at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, Sana’a University, held its second meeting for Academic Year 2026/2027 today, Sunday, August 2, 2026. Chaired by Department Head Prof. Abdu Al-Mekhlafi, the council met to advance academic quality and institutional efficiency.
The meeting commenced with the approval of the previous meeting’s minutes and a review of implementation progress on earlier decisions.
The council formally approved the defense committee for a Ph.D. dissertation in accordance with university regulations to maintain academic standards and rigorous research supervision.
Additionally, members reviewed course delivery, student attendance, curriculum execution, and student needs, while exploring strategic proposals to enhance learning outcomes and foster a supportive academic environment.
Prof. Al-Mekhlafi concluded by thanking faculty for their collaborative spirit and adherence to academic standards, reaffirming the department’s commitment to excellence and community service.
