Faculty of Computer and Information Technology Holds Training Workshop on “Course File and Report: Fundamental Pillars of Educational Quality

Under the auspices of Sana’a University’s Rector, Prof. Mohammed Ahmed Al-Bukhaiti, Faculty of Computer and Information Technology organized a training workshop titled “Course File and Report: Fundamental Pillars of Educational Quality” on Wednesday, June 25, 2025. The workshop was conducted via Zoom platform in coordination with the Center for Academic Development and Quality Assurance.
This workshop falls within the Faculty’s ongoing efforts to enhance the quality of the educational process and improve academic documentation practices in accordance with institutional and program accreditation requirements.
In the training session, Prof. Sharaf Al-Hamdi, a faculty member and member of the Academic Accreditation Council lectured the participants and presented the core concepts of course files and reports. He elaborated on key components and preparation mechanisms of such course files and reports and their role in documenting educational performance and meeting academic quality and accreditation standards. Prof. Al-Hamdi also highlighted practical and applied examples to illustrate best practices.
The presentation emphasized the integration between the course specification, the course file, and the course report. Prof. Al-Hamdi outlined a systematic approach to their preparation and highlighted their significance in self-assessment and continuous academic improvement.
The workshop was moderated by Prof. Mansour Noman and Dr. Kholoud Al-Nasser, who organized interactive discussions and facilitated dialogue and exchanges among the participating faculty members and their assistants.
The workshop witnessed active participation, featuring interactive activities, opinion polls, and direct Q&A segments that reflected the participants’ keen interest in applying the workshop content to their academic practices.
At the end of the workshop, Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Ahmed Al-Shalabi, underscored the importance of the workshop in supporting academic staff and enhancing learning outcomes through structured documentation and academic evaluation tools. He expressed appreciation for the contributions of deputy deans, department heads, faculty members, and their assistants, and commended Prof. Sharaf Al-Hamdi for his distinguished academic presentation.
Dr. Al-Shalabi further noted that the workshop is conducted as a part of the faculty’s strategic plan to develop academic performance and achieve excellence in the university’s educational environment.
