Faculty of Computer and Information Technology Program at Sana'a University
The Department of Information Technology is one of the departments of the College of Computer and Information Technology at Sana’a University. The department aims to provide theoretical and practical educational programs in an effort to prepare qualified human cadres in line with the current and future requirements of the labor market in the public and private sectors. The department also pays great attention to providing a Bachelor of Information Technology program in line with quality standards and academic accreditation and graduating qualified cadres who can be relied upon in the labor market. The department can also provide knowledge and scientific advice regarding information technology to individuals and institutions who need it in a way that achieves community service. The department was inaugurated in the year 2014/2015 to present the information technology program.
The message
Qualifying postgraduate students in the academic, research and applied in the field of information technology that contributes to meet the needs of the local and regional market by providing them with a distinguished environment in teaching, learning and research in theoretical and applied aspects.
Vision
To be a distinguished department in the field of information technology, academically and research, at the local and regional levels.
Objectives of the Information Technology Department :
The objectives of the program stem from the program’s mission and objectives of the information technology faculty and department. Therefore, the program aims to:
1- Provide students with various skills and knowledge that enable them to obtain leadership, research or postgraduate positions in the field of information technology.
2- Qualify specialized scientific cadres with a master’s degree in the field of information technology capable of producing scientific contributions to solve local and regional community problems
3- Develop technical, administrative, personal and communication skills that enable them to lead or work with work teams.
4- Develop scientific research and publishing skills, refuting scientific research and participating in scientific conferences.
