Abdulkarem Muhammad Abdullah Al-Wadhaf

 

Summary:

  • I started my education by joining the regular education system, where I completed my primary, middle, and secondary education in the capital Sana’a, where I obtained my high school diploma in 1992.
  • Then I joined the Collage of Sharia and Law at Sana’a University, and graduated in June 1997, and obtained a bachelor’s degree in Sharia and Law.
  • I completed my postgraduate studies at the Yemenia University, in the capital Sana’a, where I obtained a preliminary master’s diploma in Islamic Sharia, and then I finished my master’s studies in comparative Islamic jurisprudence, with an excellent grade, on 08/08/2000, for my thesis entitled “kītāb Jamʿ il-āhkām fī alḥalāl w- lḥarām, li-l’imām alḥādī ‘l-a alḤaqq yaḥya b. al-Ḥusayīn, (almutawafa sanat 298 H.D), dirasa watahqīq li-kītābay alṭaḥāra w-lsalāt”, under the supervision of Prof. Hassan Muhammad Maqbouli Al-Ahdal, may God have mercy on him.
  • At that time, I went back to Sana’a University, Faculty of Arts, and obtained a B.A. in Islamic Studies, through the offset system in 2000.
  • I completed my postgraduate studies, after joining the doctoral program at Sana’a University, where I obtained a Ph.D. in Comparative Islamic Jurisprudence, on 05/15/2012, for my thesis entitled “aljāmʿ liqawaʿd dīn al’islām almbʿuth bih abu alQāsim Muhamad b. Abdellah, li-ālama ʿAlī b. Muhamad b. ʿAbdallah b. ʿAtīa al-najrānī (hyan ʿām 796H.D), dirasa w-tahqīq”, under the supervision of Prof. Abdulkarim Zaidan, may God have mercy on him.
  • After obtaining a Ph.D. in Comparative Islamic Jurisprudence from Sana’a University, I joined the Bachelor’s program in Translator, at the Faculty of Languages, Sana’a University, in its first batch, after separating translator from the Arabic language, and I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Translator, in 2017.
  • I held several academic administrative positions, including Head of the Department of Islamic Sciences at the University of Knowledge and Modern Sciences, as well as Dean of the College of Humanities and Administrative Sciences, and Acting Dean of the College of Sharia and Law at the same university, and before that Acting Dean of the College of the Holy Qur’an at the University of the Holy Qur’an and Academic Sciences.
  • After obtaining my doctorate, I taught at the College of Education – Arhab, Sana’a University since the 2014/2015 academic semester, until I was appointed as an assistant professor at the College of Education – Sana’a, Sana’a University, in the Department of Islamic Studies Curricula in April 2021, pursuant to University President Decision No. 212 of 2021.
  • Member of the Sobriety Committee at the College of Education – Sana’a, Sana’a University from September 2024 until now.
