PROFESSIONAL SUMMRY:

Well-established 18 years’ experience in geography-academic teaching mainly urban geography and regional planning for undergraduate students, professional experience in project management, strategic planning and research analysis. I started my professional career as a research assistant in Educational Research and Development Center in 1988 and through Master and Ph.D.’s thesis research work, yet as a professional assistant professor since 2003, I have performed urban geography instruction and supervised an enormous research work including supervision of MS and Ph.D.’s thesis and technical project research. Particular experience in research and supervision was recognized through five large scale detailed studies (hydrological-agroeconomic- engineering- social and institutional) in Modern Irrigation Project working with partners in non-government consulting firms, farmer organizations and with government institutions as well as with local and international partners. Proven experience in supporting project management, leading professional teamwork and coordinating project implementation. In addition, my most recent experience has focused on academic teaching in urban geography as an Assistant Professor and in education management as a Department Head Assistant of Social Studies at Sana’a University.
