Admission and Graduation Requirements: |

First: The applicant for admission to the PhD Program in Arabic Language and Literature must fulfill the following requirements:
- 1- Master’s degree in Arabic Language from a recognized university with a minimum average grade of “good”.
- 2- Master’s degree in Arabic Language and Grammar or Literature and Criticism from any recognized university with an average grade of “Very Good”.
- 3- Compliance with the decisions of the Higher Education Council regarding the foreign language requirement.
- 4- Adherence to the Graduate Studies Regulations regarding the admission prerequisites for the PhD program.
- 5- Achievement of a minimum score of 80% in the written entrance exam.
- 6- Successful completion of the personal interview with a minimum score of 80%.
- 7- Commitment to full-time dedication to studies for the entire duration of the program.
Second: The Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Arabic Language and Literature (Language and Grammar or Literature and Criticism) is awarded upon completion of the following requirements:
- 1- Completion of a thesis within a minimum period of two years.
- 2- Preparation and publication of two research papers.
Supervision and Viva Voce Regulations:
- 1- This program within the Department of Arabic Studies, Faculty of Education, Sana’a University, adheres to all general regulations applicable to other departments with approved doctoral programs.
- 2- The regulations, instructions, and guidelines governing the Faculty of Education–Sana’a and Graduate Studies at Sana’a University regarding doctoral programs are deemed an essential component of this program.
