| To provide specialized scientific knowledge and academic expertise from a contemporary standpoint, equipping academic and research cadres with essential qualifications and fostering effective professional competencies in education foundations, enhancing the Faculty’s role in serving the society, while also empowering graduates to actively participate in addressing educational challenges and systemic issues, thereby transforming them into opportunities for human development. |

| Aligned with the overarching aims of the Faculty of Education, the Department of Education Foundations endeavors to achieve the following aims through this program and courses: |
| § To equip students with specialized and practical knowledge across various fields of education foundations. § To provide students with insights into modern trends, knowledge, and skills pertinent to educational planning across diverse levels. § To empower students to skillfully analyze educational issues within local, regional, and international contexts, and propose effective strategies for resolution. § To develop students’ capacity to effectively diagnose and address problems in the educational, learning, and school environment. § To satisfy the demands of the local and regional labor market for specialists in education foundations. § To cultivate students’ self-learning abilities and foster positive attitudes towards education and lifelong learning. § To deepen students’ understanding of social, economic, political, cultural, environmental, and informational challenges and their implications for education. § To conduct scientific research, studies, and consultations within the domains of education foundations. § To undertake comparative analytical studies of education systems in certain Arab and foreign countries to derive insights and best practices. |

Program Structure
- For the award of a degree in a specific major, a minimum of 30 credit hours/ course units is required. In addition, 6 credit hours are allocated for the preparation of the PhD thesis.
