| To provide enrolled students with advanced academic expertise rooted in forward-thinking principles, contributing to the cultivation of exceptional competencies in educational administration and planning across diverse fields, equipping them to effectively engage in leadership roles and enhance the functions of educational institutions, both within their specific contexts and within the broader local community. |

| Aligned with the overarching aims of the Faculty of Education, the Department of Educational Administration and Planning endeavors to achieve the following aims through the PhD program: |
| § To prepare qualified national cadres in educational administration, providing them with a profound understanding of their specialized field. § To equip students with contemporary insights, information, knowledge, and skills related to educational administration. § To provide students with research trends and skills, empowering them to contribute to educational research and advancement, particularly in the domain of educational administration. § To develop students’ capacity to effectively diagnose and address problems in the educational, learning, and school environment. § To equip students with proficiency in strategic planning across various educational and learning levels. § To equip student teachers with self-learning and research capabilities in the field of educational administration and planning, including the adept use of modern technology. § To conduct research and academic studies that help solve educational and instructional challenges. § To utilize modern global expertise in various areas of educational administration. § To contribute to enhancing and refining the educational and school environments through the scientific research presented by PhD students. § To contribute to fulfilling the requirements of faculties of education and training academic instructors across a range of administrative and educational specializations. § To provide educational institutions with national, technical, and supervisory leaders capable of executing educational initiatives and meeting future educational demands. |

Program Structure
- For the award of a degree in a specific major, a minimum of 30 credit hours/ course units is required. In addition, 6 credit hours are allocated for the preparation of the PhD thesis.

Admission Requirements for the Program | |
Determination of the program admission requirements will only specify the conditions that are not outlined in the unified regulations for graduate studies and their executive rules at Sana’a University. | |
Required Specializations: | The applicant must possess a Master’s degree in Education, majoring in Educational Administration from a recognized Yemeni, Arab, or international university. Applicants possessing other educational majors closely related to this specialization may be considered for admission based on recommendations from the Department Council, Faculty Council, and Graduate Studies Council. |
Language Proficiency TOEFL/ IBT | Applicants must have a TOEFL score of 450 or meet the requirements specified in the Graduate Studies Regulations. |
