IDRC Organizes PhD Dissertation Proposal Seminar Led by Researcher Asmaa Al-Hamdani
The Inclusive Development Research Center (IDRC) at Sana’a University organized, on Wednesday, 31 December 2025, a seminar to discuss the PhD dissertation proposal submitted by researcher Asmaa Ahmed Al-Hamdani, entitled:
‘The Role of Microfinance in Enhancing Local Development through Yemeni Rural Women’s Projects. ( A Field Study)
The examination and evaluation committee consisted of:
Dr. Halima Jahhaf — Examiner
Assoc. Prof. Saud Al-Shawash — Examiner
Dr. Iman Al-Jawfi — Examiner
Prof. Khaled Qasim Qaed — Supervisor
During the session, the researcher presented her dissertation proposal, outlining the study’s objectives, significance, methodology, and the theoretical and conceptual framework upon which it is based, in addition to the proposed hypotheses and analytical tools to be employed.
Following an in-depth discussion by the committee members, the committee approved the proposed research plan and commended the researcher’s academic efforts.
The seminar was attended by a number of interested participants and postgraduate students from the Center.
