Master Program in International Development Studies

IDRC  offers a specialized program in the field of international Development studies in English. The program aims to expand and deepen knowledge of the theories and concepts of international development at the national, regional, and global levels. It contributes to developing the capacities for analysis and critical thinking to uncover the realities of society, Obstacles to the integration of societal groups in development, and the priorities and needs of national and local development. As a specialized program, it links development to all disciplines like water, energy education, etc. It focuses on developing research skills through partnerships at the national and international levels.

The program seeks to produce scientific competitive graduates capable of working in international and sustainable development and reconstruction at a high level of quality and proficiency, to be able to contribute to developing society.

Additional Information

The Master’s program is offered in a full-time (regular) study mode and combines coursework with the preparation of a thesis, following a semester-based system over a duration of two academic years—two semesters followed by thesis work. The program aims to equip graduates for a wide range of career paths in research and development, including roles in governmental and national institutions, non-profit organizations, the consulting sector, and higher education institutions. It targets applicants who hold a bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification in any discipline, with a minimum grade of “Good,” and provides a diploma-level qualification that enhances graduates’ employability in the job market.
