*Sana’a University Academic Council Approves Academic Promotions and Regulations for Publishing Master’s Research in the Faculty of Engineering Conference*

The Academic Council of Sana’a University held today, Sunday, its eleventh regular meeting for the academic year 1447 Hijri / 2025–2026, chaired by the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs and Chairman of the Council, Prof. Ibrahim Ahmed Al-Muta’a, with the attendance of council members representing various university faculties.
At the beginning of the meeting, the council discussed the items listed on its agenda, approved the minutes of the previous meeting, and reviewed a number of academic and organizational issues related to the progress of the educational process and the development of academic performance at the university.
The council approved a number of academic decisions, including six academic promotions, seven academic status adjustments, and confirmed the tenure of eight faculty members, in a move aimed at enhancing academic stability and improving the efficiency of the university’s academic staff.
The council also approved the regulations and standards governing the scientific research papers to be submitted by master’s students enrolled in the Faculty of Engineering for publication within the proceedings of the faculty’s First Scientific Conference (IDEASET), scheduled to be held on December 1st–2nd, 2026. Outstanding papers will later be republished in the Journal of Applied Sciences.
This comes within the framework of supporting scientific research and encouraging graduate students to engage in academic publishing in fulfillment of graduation and master’s degree requirements, in accordance with the University Council’s decision.
