Personal Statement

 

With a PhD degree in Educational Foundations, I currently hold a position at Academic Development and Quality Assurance Center, Sana’a University. Throughout my career, I have conducted extensive research and published numerous studies and research papers. Additionally, I have actively participated in conferences and workshops organized by Council for Academic Accreditation and Quality Assurance and Yemeni private universities. Over the years, I have orchestrated and facilitated a series of workshops and training initiatives aimed at enhancing and embedding quality standards and indicators within educational environments.

 

Education:

  • Ph.D. in Educational Foundations, with a research dissertation titled Development of Pre-University Private Education in the Republic of Yemen: A Case of Comprehensive Quality Standards, Institute of Educational Studies, Cairo University, Egypt, 2011.
  • Master’s degree in Educational Philosophy, with a thesis titled Dominant Educational Philosophies among Faculty Members in Yemeni Universities, Ibn Rushd College of Education, Baghdad University, Iraq, 2002.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy and Sociology, Faculty of Education, Sana’a University, 1994.

 

Professional Experiences:

 

– Worked as a dean of Academic Development and Quality Center, Future University, Sept. 2016- July 2020.

– Served as a director of the Quality Assurance Department, Academic Development and QualityCenter, Future University, Sept. 2013- Sept. 2016.

– Conducted various training courses on evaluating academic programs and promoting quality in higher education institutions.

– Prepared internal regulations for Academic Development and Quality Center, Future University.

– Developed internal regulations for Quality Assurance Unit, Open Education College- Future University.

  • Served as a teacher in Department of Psychological Counseling at Higher Institute for Teacher Rehabilitation and Training in Sana’a Capital Secretariat during the academic years 2003/2004 to 2005/2006 and in the academic year 2011/2012.
  • Acted as Head of Educational Sciences Department at Higher Institute for Teacher Rehabilitation and Training in Sana’a Capital Secretariat, 2003 – 2006.
  • Conducted training sessions on learner-centered education as a Trainer at Al-Mutasim School in Sana’a Capital Secretariat, as part of Middle-East Partnership Initiative Project in 2006.
  • Taught a diverse range of academic courses throughout my teaching career, spanning from 2003 to the present. These courses include Educational Research Methods, Social Research Methods, Design and Execution of Social Research, Media Research Methods, Total Quality Management, Educational Foundations, Educational Administration, Education System in Yemen, Educational Measurement and Evaluation, Educational Psychology, Developmental Psychology, and Psychological Tests and Standards.
  • Held the position of a Social Specialist at Kuwait Secondary School in Sana’a Capital Secretariat, 1994-2000.
