Research interest: Focusing on Clinical, Metabolic & Molecular Nutrition related research, novel molecular & cellular mechanisms underlying therapeutic effect of natural products, physiological mechanisms underlying body weight loss after gastric bypass surgery.

– Integrated Approaches to develop new drugs or tools of natural origin for treatment of chronic diseases with special emphasis on revealing the possible underlying mechanisms (Adiposity and belly fat, fatty liver, Bone disorders, Diabetes, Metabolic Syndrome, Inflammation, Cancer, Oxidative Stress, and Inborn Error of Metabolism).

– Pharmacological and genetic modulation of Peroxisome Proliferator-Activated Receptor signaling Pathways Participate in hepatic lipid metabolism via phytochemicals treatment.

– The Proliferative and Differentiation effects of herbal remedies on human mesenchymal stem cells (hMSCs) and elaborated on the plausible underlying mechanisms of action mainly in bone marrow adiposity and other bone metabolism disorders.

– Novel Obesity Treatment using exercise, nutrition and/or medication intervention, hormonal regulation and integration metabolism manipulation.

– Novel clinical trials & GIT devices design for effective/preventive interventions with a goal of optimizing the health and nutritional status of patients and preventing against the modifiable risk factors.

– Uses rodent models and omics technologies to identify new biomarkers and molecular mechanisms underlying weight loss/gain and improvement of glucose homeostasis.
