Sana’a University Dental Students Conduct Awareness and Humanitarian Visit to Al-Rahmah Society for Orphan Care

In line with promoting social responsibility and highlighting the humanitarian role of the dental profession, fourth-year female students (27th Batch) from the Department of Orthodontics, Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry at Sana’a University conducted an awareness and humanitarian field visit to Al-Rahmah Society for Orphan Care. The initiative brought together 160 students under the supervision and guidance of department teaching assistants.
Warm Reception and Educational Activities
The visit began with a warm welcome from the children, who greeted the team with an opening welcome song. Following the reception, organized educational activities commenced, with students dividing into specialized teams focused on event logistics, oral health awareness, interactive competitions, and the distribution of meals and gifts.
Promoting Oral and Dental Health
The event featured interactive activities and contests designed to teach children the importance of oral hygiene. Students provided practical demonstrations on proper toothbrushing techniques in a supportive and engaging atmosphere.
Institutional Tour and Community Support
Society leadership facilitated the visit by providing an overview of daily life at the shelter and guiding the team on a tour of key facilities, including the residential quarters, nursery, and healthcare section.
The visit included interactive games and recreational activities, reinforcing community support for orphan welfare and drawing inspiration from prophetic traditions on orphan care.
The Faculty extended its appreciation to the administration of the Al-Rahmah Society for their hospitality and assistance, while recognizing the efforts of the Department of Orthodontics, Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry staff and the 27th Batch students in carrying out the field activity.
