I work as an Assistant professor, researcher and professional in the field of Transportation, Highway and Traffic Engineering, Data collection surveys design, training and analyst (1997-2021).
I have an excellent record of Academic qualifications and experiences, an involvement in the specialist field for consultancy works and studies (with private and governmental sectors), attendances of related conferences and workshops sessions.

Education:
1. Degree of doctor of Philosophy ( Ph.D.) in the field of Civil Engineering, Transportation, Highway and Traffic Engineering, University of Strathclyde, Civil Engineering Dept. U. K., 1997.

4. Attended many courses, conferences and meetings in the field of Highway Engineering.

Experience:
. Academic, research and office tasks (Mostly as a permanent Academic member in the University of Sana’a, from 1997 -2021, as a visitor lecturer University of TWINTEC, University of Qeen Arwa, International university of Emirates.
– Performing the theoretical, applied and practical lectures for the courses in the field of Transportation Engineering and planning, Highway and Traffic Engineering for the fourth, final year ( undergraduate program) and the postgraduate program.
– I have supervised the final year projects in the same field as a requirement for the degree of B.Sc
– I worked for two years as the Coordinator of the postgraduate studies program (Diploma and M.Sc.1999-2000) in the field of Highway and Geotehnique Engineering.
– I have supervised the Highway and Traffic Laboratory in the Civil Engineering Department for different rotated periods ( 1997- 2019).
– I worked for two years as the chairman of the educational and examinations affairs in the faculty. I was nominated to be the representative of the academic Assistant professors staff in the faculty’s council and in the faculty and the university’s syndicate.
-I worked for 3 years (since 2005 up to 15/9/2008) as the vice dean for higher studies and academic affairs. I was worked, at the same period, as the chairman of the academic accredition and quality assurance for enginnering education unit in the faculty of engineering, Sana’a University.
– I shared with a research for the Youth leaderships foundation (YLDEF) which was sponsored by the Canadian academic research Centre (2009) to perform field surveys and data analysis of “Youths graduates engineers’ capabilities and IT technology usage in the Yemeni society”
– I shared with 3 research with IRD (2009-2011) to perform field data analysis in 12 selected Yemeni governorates to highlight the needed development issues of the local communities and the impact of the interactive theater in the society awareness program.
-For the “the first national road safety conference” which was held in Sana’a (october2010), I presented a research to diagnose the causes of the road crashes in Yemeni roads’ network and to recommend a solution by an establishment to the national Yemeni road safety strategy. I made a desk review to the previous road safety studies in Yemen ( at local, regional and international bases) to the benefit of Road Maintenance Authority prior to the conference.
– I was selected among a team ( nominated from Higher education ministry) to evaluate the civil engineering programs at 4 universities (2014-2018): University of Azal for human development, University of Twintik, University of Alandulus, University of AlNaser.

b. Engineering and consultative tasks:
I was selected among the nominated engineering teams to design and peform the traffic, road users and the operational data collection surveys, performing data and impact analysis for Government and Non-governmental Authorities.

Conferences and Workshops:
I was among different Engineering consultancy and academic teams to prepare, analyze and present, research and reports on Transportation, traffic and Highways Engineering. Also in documentation and evaluation of Civil Engineering Syllabus for Academic accreditation in many Yemeni universities. I was involved in many conferences, meetings and workshops at national, Engineering professional and local community levels to do consultancy services.
Research and scientific papers:
I am working and I have presented many reports and presentations in the Transportation and Highways field related to road safety, Pavement deterioration, urban transportation and dry port design for freight transportation in Sana’a design.
