Currently employed at Sana’a University, Faculty of Engineering, Civil Engineering Department, Water and Environmental Engineering Section. Employed since 1989. Coordinator of the Water and Environmental Division, 2005-2006.

Employment Experience:

  • Worked for about one year as a Civil Engineer at the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing. Supervision of the construction of Saawan city in Sana’a (1988).
  • Consultant for the Social Fund for Development in dam’s area.
  • Participating as a lecturer in the capacity building program “Small Gravity Dams Training Course” held in Sana’a by Al-Amal Centre for Studies and Resources Development and sponsored by the Public Work Project in Sana’a. September, 2005.
  • Participating as a lecturer in the capacity building program “Training of Project Officers and Consultants in Designing Small Dams” held in Sana’a by the Social Fund for Development. Sana’a, 4-8-Febrauary, 2006.
  • Visiting an evaluating several small earth and concrete gravity dams in Al-Mahweet Province.
  • Participating as a translator during the training course “Tailor Made Course Community Spate Irrigation” held in Sana’a by Meta Meta (from the Netherlands), the Water and Environmental Centre (WEC), Irrigation Development Project and Spate Irrigation Network, September, 2007.
  • Visiting an evaluating several Hydraulic Structure (Diversion Weirs and Irrigation Systems) in the Tihama region.
  • Participating in putting a guide for the Design of Small Dams for the Social Fund for Development.
  • Participating as a lecturer in the local training course for the members of Saada Water Basin “Principles of Water Resources Management and the Community involvement in its Management in Saada Basin ” held in Sana’a at the Water and Environmental Centre (WEC, 5-10-May, 2007.
  • Participating as a trainer and translator in a training course about Rain Water Harvesting from Roofs using Ferrocement Tanks held by the Social Fund for Development with cooperation from GTZ, Sana’a, 9-29-May, 2007.
  • Supervision of two Ferrocement Tanks constructed during the training course mentioned above.
